Aldine Education Foundation Awards $562,000 in Scholarships at 2025 Ceremony
The Aldine Education Foundation (AEF) hosted its annual Scholarship Ceremony on Monday, May 6, 2025, at the M.O. Campbell Educational Center, where hundreds of students were recognized and awarded $562,000 in scholarships.
This year, the Foundation reviewed an impressive 2,229 scholarship applications and awarded 416 scholarships. The total amount awarded also surpassed last year’s $467,000, highlighting continued growth in community support and student opportunity.
The ceremony honored 79 scholarships supported through both endowed and current-year funds and introduced 19 new scholarships to the Foundation’s growing portfolio. Additionally, $67,500 of the funds awarded came directly from sponsorships raised during the 2025 “Scholars and Sneakers” Gala campaign.
To ensure that all families could take part in the celebration, the ceremony was live-streamed for parents and loved ones who were unable to attend in person.
AEF also thanks Whataburger for helping make the morning even more special by providing breakfast sandwiches, coupons, and festive “Class of ’25” table tents for each scholarship recipient.
“Our mission is to open doors for Aldine students, and this year’s record shows what’s possible when a community comes together,” said Linda Flores Olson, Director of the Aldine Education Foundation. “These scholarships represent more than just dollars—they represent belief in our students’ futures.”
The Foundation is grateful to all donors, sponsors, and volunteers who continue to invest in the potential of Aldine’s youth.
